Review of Dell Latitude E6400

Full review of Dell Latitude E6400

Full review is currently not available. Check back again, as we are in the process of updating our review database.

Summary and Information

The old grey magnesium-alloy casing was updated with a surprisingly fresh design. Some of them, including the E6400 are even available in fancy colors. Hence, now even corporate users get a chance to get a laptop in Regatta Blue, Regal Red, or Quartz Pink.

The E6400 is the most popular 14" model with a choice of processors from Intels Centrino 2 lineup, professional grade Nvidia graphics, and several new security features. Dell claims that you should be able to squeeze up to 19 hours of battery life out of this one, but to achieve this you have to configure it with the 9-cell battery, a pricey Solid State Drive, and an additional battery slice.

You can get this model and others from the Latitude E series with either Vista or ironically, pay extra for a Windows XP downgrade. The optional graphics card, Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M, roughly equals the 9300M consumer GPU, but should perform somewhat better thanks to a higher clock.

Dell Latitude E6400 Technical Specifications
  • Processor 2.40GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Memory 1-8GB
  • Harddrive 160GB
  • OS Windows Vista/XP
  • Weight 4.3 lbs/1.95 kg
  • Screen 14,1"
  • Screen resolution 1440x900
  • Graphic Card Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M.

Review Fujitsu Lifebook A6120

The Fujitsu Lifebook A6120 is a desktop replacement multimedia machine, which has a great design and is quite light for desktop replacement category. It catches our eye, and we review it for you.

Design

The notebook has a sturdy feel to it, and it is very simple in looks, and its simplicity strikes a great chord. The screen is a 15.4” widescreen XGA with 1280x800 max resolution, and the quality is simply outstanding. The color, contrast and brightness all score well, and a stunning experience is delivered. The keyboard set is also good, with the regular layout and so is the touchpad, which is large and wide. The keys and the touchpad are very responsive, and have a good feel to them. Above the keyboard are some media center short cut keys, which carry out regular tasks like web-browser launch, search, volume control and 2 programmable keys. The connectivity options include 5 USB 2.0 ports, 5-in-1 card reader, PC Card slot, Firewire, Ethernet,S-video, VGA, modem and headphone/MIC jacks.

Performance

A Core-2-duo T8100, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB hard drive is what drives this machine. The notebook scores 4,061 PCMarks 05 and 509 3DMarks, which is an average score business productivity and almost a no-no score for gaming. The multi-tasking was a breeze, and the Penryn processor was easily able to handle them. The battery life is somewhere around 2 hours 40 minutes at maximum load, and it can easily be taken to 3.5 hours in Power-saving mode. Overall performance of the notebook is great, and it performed well in all the tests except the GPU tests.

Conclusion

Fujitsu Lifebook A6120 is a great notebook for Desktop replacement, and has an array of connectivity options and good performance to boot. Miss it if you intend to use it for gaming, rest everything should be good for sometime to come.

Pros

+ Good performance
+ A nice set of connectivity options

Cons

- A bit heavy as compared to others
- Poor GPU

HP ProBook 6560b Review

HP ProBook 6560b Review

The ProBook 6560b comes with loads of software to help keep your system running smoothly, protected and help you save money.

HP ProtectTools is security software that allows you to manage your passwords and how you login to your system. You can literally tell the system to require a finger print along with facial recognition before you can login. You can also require your password be typed along with your finger print and or facial scan.

Pretty cool, and something you’d want if you have classified of highly sensitive information on your system.

There is even Theft Recovery software available on the system, at a cost of 43 dollars a year for the premium version which allows you to lock the system, and or to wipe its hard drive remotely. They can even determine its location and assist law enforcement in getting it back. By the way it can even do this if the systems hard drive has been reformatted. It also works with INTEL AT (anti-theft) technology which will pretty much kill a system if it doesn’t call home within a specified timeframe. Some features require wireless broadband service to work.

There is also software in the system to help you save money on your electric bill. HP Power Assistant monitors how much power your system is using and allows you to schedule different power settings for the system at different times. It will even display a history of power usage.

Something really cool about the system is how easily upgradeable it is, you can take the bottom of the system off and gain access to the memory, wireless card, hard drive, and even CPU. All toolless I might add. Check the picture out below to see what I mean.

When it came to battery life, depending on how I used it I averaged a little under 4 hours which seems to be typical of any notebook I use. The system is a bit heavier than others but you’d expect it from the design it has and after a while I got use to carrying it around.

My only complaint about the ProBook 6560b was it didn’t come with any HDMI ports. Sure it had a bunch of USB, and an eSata port along with a memory card reader. But no HDMI. I forgot it does have display port but come on I want to connect this bad boy to my TV and stream movies and MLB.tv to the TV in the Hotel room I may be staying in. Please HP add HDMI. Oh and one more thing but it’s minor. There is AirPlane mode on the system, enabling it will disable bluetooth, wireless and wireless boradband. Airplane mode should not disable Wi-Fi anymore there’s Wi-Fi on planes. Hopefully HP will fix that!

The ProBook 6560b is a fantastic system. Its powerful, its looks great and it has so many features that if you work in government you’d want or your boss would want you to want. As I said earlier it looks kind of like the presidential Limo, this is definitely the PC I would want the President to use in fact if I ever become President I want a ProBook built like this. I’m a nickname the ProBook 6560b NoteBook. {www.hardwaregeeks.com}

How to Choose Good Domain Name

The various aspects of choosing and registration of a domain name with tips on how to choose a good name, and resell. The emergence of electronic commerce in its wake, a spin-off about how the shape of the domain name buying and selling gold created.

The muli value of sales, the domain name  business.com ,  have driven computer.com  and others, the spread of the mania Wildfire control. Almost all common words in the dictionary of the English language has been registered as a domain. Com-plane in the hope of recovery in the big time, starting where some new e-business, until you decide you need to know the name and just can not live without it. It would be nice if it works this way and there may be a bit of money in order for the registration of domain names and made a sale to the highest bidder, but if you type a name for quality and unique as the famous store. com. …. and very few of them left …. then wait until you make your first million dollars in this game are something more than a Dellus. Obviously, the largest sums going to the registration of real companies, they pay forty or fifty dollars for the privilege of owning a domain name for one year. But you never know, like the giant e-commerce grows and the supply of available domain names begin to dry thoroughly, then the domain name you one or two years may be registered, a large profit. So some hope after all may have, a kind of profitable investments, we consider the purchase of our first domain name as a future as an investment property in cyberspace.

There are many websites with a domain registration service available on the network and now a simple search through a search engine you want a place to start looking for that perfect domain name. Most make the search for at least three of the top-level domains, the most popular. Com,. Net, J. Org. The vast majority is requested, the domain name. COM, but with the decline in the availability of good. Com names, the others are gaining popularity as encuantra. com y. Levels of the networks are often associated with commercial sites J. org is frequently associated with non-profit organizations. Well. Com, in conjunction with a trade mark gives you a good web presence and give a sense of professionalism of the visitors to the site possible. It is also the most recognized of the three, all in all is probably why most of them are big already registered. When you register a domain Guidlines scale important to keep a few things in mind. The shorter the name the better, because it is easier to remember than to spell, obviously perceived it would be very important, trying to remember and type the name to find the page. How easily and quickly name with a product or service to be connected is very paticular the most of your investment is importance. Also convenient to get the box. Level com.

Like I said, most if not all, the big name. COM names are gone, there will be a little creative and try on a combination of two catchy words to think, as long as not too long.
If you think you have entered a name that is not as it probably costs about fifty dollars or more, your name for one year is found. You can have up to two ten years, if you want, and you are willing to pay the additional charged. In any case, will cost an annual fee of thirty dollars, if you want to keep the recording of ‘one more year. If you a name for the purpose of sale, then it be a good idea to have a professional estimate of names, so you would not forget, change, or at inflated prices and the end of the market itself outpricing even get free.
Professional appraisal services are provided on alot of the registration sites and usually cost around fifteen or twenty dollars.

So now you have the one and only illusive domain name that everybody would like to acquire and you wish to advertise your good fortune to prospective domain name buyers. There are quite a few of domain name brokers on the net now that specialize in the selling of domain names for clients and listing yours with one is one way to start. They usually charge a percentage of the selling price for their services and may also have other stipulations they require of you so it’s best to read the fine print before listing. Creating your own website, maybe with one of the free website providers, and advertising your name or names for sale is another good idea.

The more you promote and advertise, the better chance you will have in securing a deal.
There are already thousands of available domains for sale on the net now so take heart if it takes a while to sell yours.

If you believe in the name that you registered and you are willing to pay the yearly renewal registration fees, then over time it may develop into a much sought after and valuable investment.

This is the Reason Why Nokia Selects Windows Phone 7

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop forward once again defended his companys decision to choose Windows Phone 7 (WP7). This time, Elop explain clearly the reason.

At the conference Uplinq Qualcomm in San Diego, California, United States (U.S.), Elop said the firm deliberately avoid Android as are many vendors who use it.

"There is an opportunity to create a third ecosystem. And this will be our capital to go forward," said Elop as quoted from Cnet, on Friday (06/03/2011).

According to him, today there are many companies that use Android for their products. Everything is innovative and interesting and would be difficult to be prominent among them.

"With Microsoft and WP7, Nokia had a chance to make their own name and the device rather than have to follow the rules of Android," he added.

Moreover, Nokia currently holds the exclusive rights WP7 could also feel more free to make innovations that distinguish it on the Nokia operating system with the other phones.

As is known, the rumored Nokia revenues continue to decline led to widespread criticism that the Finnish vendor is whack. The critics even mentioned the Nokia would be better if you select the WP7.

Previously, Intel was disappointed because MeeGo ignored, never mentioned that the reason is one reason Nokia chose WP7 is related to financial reasons.

  • Ports and Slots: Three USB 2.0, one FireWire 400 port, one ExpressCard 34, one S-Video, one VGA, one MemoryStick Pro reader, one SD card reader, headphone / line-out, microphone-in, modem, 10/100 Ethernet
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n)
  • Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT available)
  • Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Dimensions: 14.0" x 10.2" x 1.4" (Width x Depth x Height)
  • Weight: 5.75 pounds

Conclusion

The Sony VAIO FZ is a nice looking notebook with a solid set of features that are sure to appeal to people looking for a full-featured notebook with clean lines. While the entry-level version of the FZ with integrated Intel graphics lacks the power for serious gaming, even the Intel chipset provides enough performance for a mobile multimedia center. The optional NVIDIA graphics, blu-ray and HDMI make the FZ a perfect HD powerhouse. If Sony could only find a way to fix the annoying AV Mode button error, remove some of the bloatware, and improve battery life the FZ would be nearly perfect.

Pros

  • Simple design with clean looks
  • Fast Core 2 Duo processors and up to 4GB of RAM provide plenty of system performance
  • Screen has excellent horizontal viewing angles
  • Solid build quality and sturdiness
  • Stays cool and makes little noise
  • Good keyboard if you dont mind flat keys

Cons

  • Useless AV button
  • Too much bloatware installed
  • Poor battery life
  • Only three USB ports.

Acer Aspire 5830TG 6402

Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6402 ($ 799.99 direct) is a laptop that packs a punch one-two with good looks and solid performance, with a combination of processor and graphics that usually cost much more. It does this by making some sacrifices, which results in a set of limited functionality and low heat dissipation. But despite these shortcomings, the Acer Aspire 6402-5830TG TimelineX worth a visit.

Design

Acer has updated its popular series TimelineX in June, when the car is lighter profile, rugged design and bright colors. Our review unit 5830TG-6402 this family was a cool cobalt blue, covered with lid, aluminum and metal and plastic frame. This combination has led to a portable lightweight (5.4 pounds), there is little visible bending of the body or the keyboard. The body is thin, which is only 1.23 by 9.80 by 14.88 inches (HWD), which does not leave much room for heat dissipation. During the most demanding tests of reference, the temperature of the lower surface of the handset has reached 111 degrees Fahrenheit (as measured by the thermometer Fluke IR).

Acer Aspire 5830TG-6402
Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6402
The palm rest is covered with plastic, but the keyboard and keypad are surrounded by bare brushed aluminum. The black Chiclet-style keys have a matte finish and smooth, and writing experience is pleasant. The only unusual feature of the keyboard is the Enter key, which is combined with the key. This does not seem to serve a functional purpose, but it provides visual feedback for keyboard of old. A multitouch touchpad is located just below the space bar, which is uncomfortable far to the left. But the touchpad is nice and responsive, and click buttons left and right are quiet and comfortable.

15.6-inch screen offers a resolution of 1366 x 768 and the common enough to watch video, 720p, widescreen and offers enough space to work with two windows or documents side by side. Acer pairs of this display above average Dolby Home Theater media.

Features

For a 15-inch laptop, the Acer Aspire is a fairly standard set of features, a VGA and HDMI-output, multi-format card reader (SD, xD, MMC, MS / Pro), and three USB 2.0 ports. One USB 3.0 offers data transfer speeds, and is also equipped to download to your phone or music player when the computer is off. The headphones on the left side of the laptop to double the S / PDIF port, which gives you a 5.1 source to connect digital audio home theater receiver or speaker system.

Wireless is also a lot of options, thanks to Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, and Clear.fi, the Acers multimedia streaming technology, which allows all Clear.fi Acer products to share and forward your home network with each other. All of these wireless options, however, left me wants WiMAX (4G broadband service), or Intel wireless display (Widi 2.0) was involved. Editors Choice for Lenovo IdeaPad 1066A9U-V570 ($ 629.99 list, 4 stars), for example, offers both.

The Acer Aspire is equipped with a DVD ± RW for recording and playback optical media. A drive of 640 GB hard disk should provide enough space for your files, but if you need more space, USB 3.0 port to be used an external hard drive quite simple. At 5,400 rpm, the hard drive is slower than the speed of 7200 were found in the Dell XPS 15z ($ 1,534 direct, 4 stars).

In this unit, you will also find a lot of software, as a 60-day trial of McAfee Internet Security, a 30-day trial of Norton Internet Security 2010 and Microsoft Office Starter. There are also some additional icons on the desktop, such as links to eBay and Netflix, a player for the New York Times, PC Rincon and toolbars both Bing and Google. Acer Aspire TimelineX is protected with one year warranty covering parts and labor, even for injuries that occur during international travel.

Performance

Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6402 is equipped with a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor, which uses Intel CPU Sandy Bridge. This processor is supported with 6 GB of RAM, and performance of the notebook reflects the effectiveness of this combination. In PCMark 7, all of our benchmarking tests, the Acer Aspire 6402-5830TG scored a good 2252, surpassing Dell Inspiron i15RN5110-5816DBK ($ 799.99 list, 3 stars) (2169 points) and V570-1066A9U Lenovo IdeaPad (2066). In Cinebench R11.5, which serves as our test processor speed, Acer scored 2.60, just in line with Dell Inspiron (2.61) and Lenovo IdeaPad (2.60). He was knocked out of Asus K53E-B1 ($ 770 street, 4 stars), which has a slightly faster processor i5, and scored 2.74 and Dell XPS 15z (3.03), which has to a quad-core processor.

Processing power lent itself well to multimedia work, too. The Acer has wreaked havoc in our video encoding test with Handbrake only 1 minute 54 seconds, breaking the hearts of double and quadruple similar systems. The K53E-B1 Asus completed the race in 2:22, where the Core i7-equipped Dell XPS 15z run 2:17. For those who work with video these days show a fast and smooth. The story is somewhat different in our test of the Photoshop image manipulation, including Acer completed in 4 minutes and 10 seconds, which corresponds to the time of the Lenovo IdeaPad 1066A9U-V570, but dragging 15z Dell XPS (3: 40) and Asus K53E-B1 (3:51). The Acer is more than able to handle all your photo editing needs, but anyone familiar with quality systems professional may feel it is a little slow.

Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6402 also has an Nvidia GeForce 520M discrete graphics chip. But thanks to the automatic switching technology Optimus Nvidia, Acer uses the most efficient integrated graphics when high-octane graphics are not necessary. In 3DMark06 Acer Aspire 5792 marked the resolution settings on average, and 4804 points when pushed all the way to 768th by 1366 This performance surpasses easily integrated graphics solution used in Dell Inspiron i15RN5110-5816DBK (4145 on a medium resolution, 1882 native) and Lenovo IdeaPad (4414 using the native 4001), but is left in place against a system with a more powerful GPU, like the Dell XPS 15z (through 8909, 5541 for natives).

This capability also provides graphics performance of solid play, and Acer offers enough support for moderate 3D gaming. In Crysis, the Acer pumped respectable 32.5 frames per second (fps) at medium resolution, but the requirements of the game, the graphics prevented us from testing at full resolution. Even the Dell XPS 15z could not produce a result to play native resolution, but resolution bulbs 58.5fps crank means. In Lost Planet 2, the parameters of product support and 24.7fps 13.1fps at the native resolution. The Acer is a few steps behind the XPS 15z (37.1fps 12.4fps with the natives), but not beat-B1 Asus K53E (19.5fps on average, but unplayable in the original).

When the Acer beat all competitors had the battery. Measured in our MobileMark 2007 benchmark, the six-cell battery 90Wh Acer lasted 9 hours 57 minutes. This all-day power cables for 15-inch container, bypassing the 6:26 and Asus K53E-B1, and also leaving the leaves of Acer Lenovo IdeaPad (4:41, 48Wh) and Dell (3:53, 64Wh) and dust.

With a price of $ 800 and a combination of beauty and intelligence, Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6402 is a smart buy for any budget. Its powerful processor, switchable graphics, and battery life of nearly 10 hours are all major assets, can compensate for the lack of features like WiDi 2.0 and wireless broadband. If these features are part-breakers for you, try Editors Choice-1066A9U Lenovo IdeaPad V570.

Format hard disk before installing Windows 7 – Solution

Format hard disk before installing Windows 7? – Solution

Format hard disk before installing Windows 7? – Solution
Many people have been having a problem when they tried to install Windows 7 on their computer, which already had another Windows installed on it (Windows XP, Vista or even Windows 7 itself).

Well, I also had this problem, and so I searched for a solution and found it. That`s what I`ll show you in this post.

When you cannot format the hard disk before installing Windows 7 and proceed with the installation process without actually removing the Windows that was previously installed on the disk, you would notice that Windows 7 automatically creates a folder named “Windows.old” or something similar to this, with a transparent icon. You may think that deleting this folder would do the thing, but it`s not.

Even if you delete the “Windows.old” folder, the previous Windows would still be present (though it would naturally not work as all its files have been deleted). So, deleting the “Windows.old” folder is not the proper way to remove the previous Windows from the disk.

You should also know that formatting the disk would remove all the content from the disk, not only the Windows files. So, keep this in mind, and be sure to keep backups of your personal files. Programs do not need to be backed up as you can install them again, however, if you have files you use with applications you will want to keep these as backup, as well as some plug-ins or add-ons that do not come with the program setup files (if you have them).

Now, you may have your reasons to want to format the hard disk. I had to format my hard disk as it was infected with viruses that damaged the previous Windows. Also, people like to delete everything (they have backups of personal files) when they install a new Windows. For example, if you are upgrading from Window XP to Windows 7.

Well, let`s come to how to format the disk. Inserting the Windows 7 disk after loading the previous Windows will eventually not allow you to format the disk, unless you are ask to restart the system. Then again, when I inserted the disk and restarted the computer, I could not find the option to boot with the Windows 7 DVD. And that`s the problem that many people face.

To format the hard disk before installing the Windows 7 with the DVD in this case, you need to go the BIOS. To access BIOS, you need to turn off your computer, and turn it on again. Normally, to enter BIOS, you need to press a F (function key) key or the DEL key, depending on the computer or laptop you use. For some it`s F2, some F11, other computers have other keys. The key that you need to press appears on the very first screen as you turn on your computer. It`s really quick, so be sure to see which key it is and press it before the first screen display disappears.

What you need to do in BIOS is change the boot order accordingly. You need to make the DVD first (at the top). If you have never entered BIOS, you may be a bit anxious, and you are right because doing something wrong there can have severe consequences on the system. But you need not fear and just follow the instructions.

You will be using the arrow keys. The instructions are clearly labeled on the BIOS screen. Go to the Boot order option. You should see items like DVD rom, hard disk, CD rom, USB, network, … there. To move the DVD rom option up and down, you normally use the + and – keys. This should be easy. Then, be sure to SAVE the settings and exit the BIOS screen by following the instructions there.

Then, the Windows 7 DVD should boot first (instead of the installed Windows) and during the installation process with the DVD, you will have an option where you can choose to format the disk and partition it if you wish. By the way, be sure to have backup of your important files before formatting everything.

Well, that`s how you do this. To sum up, you insert the DVD, restart, enter BIOS, make DVD the first item in Boot Order, exit BIOS and proceed with the installation from the DVD during which you will be presented with the option.

Normally, not all BIOS are similar, but you should not have much problem as it`s not much different too. I hope this post helped you and that you could format your hard disk without any problem. If you want to add something or ask for help, you are welcome to do so through our comment.

Asus Eee PC 1018P Review

Asus Eee 1018p
The metal top to the palm rest and keyboard surround has completely removed any flex in this area - which is where you notice it most - giving the device an instantly high quality feel. The trackpad has a brushed metal finish while the keyboard zone is anodised. Both textures are fairly subtle though, so the difference doesnt stick out too clearly.

Connectivity is mostly bang up-to-date, with two USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth 3.0 on-board, alongside a VGA out, additional USB 2.0 socket, Ethernet port, mic/headphone jacks and the multi-format card reader. Theres one glaring omission though - HDMI. The VGA output lets you connect the Asus 1018p to an external monitor, but to watch the occasional HD video file on telly, wed have liked to see an HDMI included. Granted, its not supported by the chipset but there are plenty of HDMI netbooks out there nowadays.

This void-like feeling is made worse by the inclusion of some superfluous features, such as the fingerprint reader on the front and the sliding lens cover for the woefully underpowered 0.2 megapixel webcam. Wed have traded both in for another video output.

Were not quite as willing to give away all of the Asus 1018Ps window dressings though. A software tweak allows for USB charging even when the netbooks off. Its disabled by default as it eats into the battery, but could prove a lifesaver if you find your smartphone is out of juice on the way to meet someone.
The Asus Eee PC 1018P and 1015P both use a chiclet-style keyboard, offering keys that are more discretely spaced than the Eee PC 1001 and 1008 models. Its similar in style to the popular Asus Eee Pad Transformers keyboard accessory, with the aluminium coating lending it a similar level of build quality.

Asus Eee 1018p 2

The action of the keys isnt quite up to the best netbooks from Lenovo, for example, lacking a little definition, but at over 90 percent of full size, typing is not significantly slowed down compared to a desktop keyboard. Once the initial learning curve has been surmounted, that is. As is standard for a netbook, secondary functions are mapped to the F-keys, from switching Wi-Fi on and off to changing volume and disabling the trackpad.

Its trackpad is something heavily influenced by the Eee PC 1018Ps style pretentions. It features an attractive brushed-metal finish but the buttons arent separate - instead a mostly seamless part of the pad itself. The button area is textured with raised dots to tell your digits when theyre in the right place though. Theres no divide between the left and right buttons either. We found this compromise easy to live with and comfy to use, but if youre terribly picky about your trackpads, this may prove a turn-off.

Asus Eee 1018p 1

The speakers are built-into the Eee PC 1018Ps metal hinge, freeing the keyboard surface from having to be pitted with any speaker outlets. Sound is weak and reedy, not helped by the angle of the speaker in normal usage - it points upwards, not towards you. With volume maxed-out theres no distortion, which is something, but for all but the occasional YouTube clip, youll want to plug in a pair of headphones or speakers.

The Asus Eee PC 1018p has a 10.1in screen, the bog-standard size for todays tablets and netbooks. Its an LED-backlit model using a 1024x600 pixel panel, which looks increasingly low-res now that tablets like the Motorola Xoom and convertible Asus Eee Pad Transformer have upped the tablet resolution bar to 1280x800. When the Eee PC 1018ps RRP is around £349, this spec is starting to look decidedly old hat.
Asus Eee 1018p 7

The display suffers from contrast shift when viewed from significant horizontal and vertical angles, but within normal limits performance is more than acceptable. Theres plenty of brightness on tap and little colour shift. Its a solid, if unspectacular performance.
The Asus 1018P comes in two iterations - one with a dual-core N550 Atom and this one, which has the lower-powered single-core 1.83GHz N470 Atom equipped with basic integrated GMA 3100 graphics. It doesnt have enough power to play 1080p video without major stuttering, but when theres no HDMI output and only a sub-720p HD screen on-board, such a feature would be of limited use.

This is a netbook for the basics - word processing, web browsing and watching the odd video on-the-move. Even 720p video on YouTube struggles along here, although standalone files will play correctly - if encoded with a sensible codec and at a modest bit-rate. Gaming potential is similarly limited. In our standard Trackmania Nations benchmark, at medium settings, the Eee PAD 1018p managed just 9.5fps. Even with the settings set to rock-bottom levels, this figure only bumped up to 12fps. At this point, playing the game could be classed as a masochists hobby.
The 1GB of RAM common to virtually all 10.1in netbooks naturally limits productivity here - and were beginning to get a little tired of it. At least the single-core processor doesnt significantly slow down basic navigation through the Windows 7 OS. Again, stick to the basics and the Asus Eee PC 1018p will give you no problems.

Doing these basics on the netbook is made all the more pleasant by its strong suit, though - its design and build. The aluminium layer may appear to be a superfluous add-on, but that premium veneer does make this device more enjoyable to use. And beyond your frames-per-second and your CPU clock cycles, this remains an important factor when it comes to actually using the thing.
The Asus Eee PC 1018p lasted for 5:08 hours in our video test, playing an SD Divx file on loop at 60 percent brightness. This is a fairly average result for a netbook, though some rivals are able to push 8-10 hours. Asus claims "up to 10 hours" for the netbook, which may be possible if you turn the brightness down, switch off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and only undertake very low-intensity tasks.
If performance and battery life are your key considerations, rather than style and build, other options are very difficult to ignore. The Acer Aspire D255 offers a better processor than this particular model, for less money, and the Toshiba N550 is also better-equipped, offering a more powerful AMD processor, HDMI output and half-decent speakers.

Verdict

The Asus Eee PC 1018P is very good at being a netbook. Its particularly slim, otherwise small, light and more pleasant to use than some cheaper alternatives thanks to its aluminium clad interior. However, you do pay for such luxuries and with a single-core Atom processor and no HDMI output, it cant handle video nearly as well as some similarly-priced netbooks from other manufacturers. You have to pursue a sequence of directions and by following this you would be adept to conceal any of your individual document from anyone. It’s a superb procedure by following it’s completely unrealistic to find the file. You can’t state that it’s a new trick; possibly some of you currently knew about this, so it’s not for you but for those who are ignorant of this and would like to know.

So here the method begins. First thing you need is to have WinZip or WinRar established at your machine.
• First step is that you have to conceive a folder on your hard propel i.e., C:Test and drag the documents you desire to conceal into that folder along with the likeness that you will going to use for concealing the documents in.

• Now you should have a folder having the following named files that is a JPG image, and a compressed archive.

• Now the most interesting thing go to Command prompt by clicking on Start/Run/CMD You would see a command prompt, to enter in to root directory there type in “CD”, after this you have to type the keyword CD followed by the directory name “ CD Test”.

• Now you have to type “copy /b image.jpg + Hidden.rar image.ipg” and then press enter. Please check the extension very carefully whether its .ZIP or .RAR, because you have to mention that its extension as well in the command prompt. By doing this picture file would be updated with the compressed archive inside.

Now if you desire to ascertain your concealed document easily you have to change the elongation to .Rar, you can use WinRar to open this file.
